Alison Grigonis, Associate

Ms. Grigonis joined the firm's predecessor organization in 2010, AndersonTuell, LLP. During her time at Anderson Indian Law, she has focused on congressional and administrative advocacy. Her staffing areas also include matters pertaining to the land-into-trust process, gaming law, contract review, tribal acknowledgement and recognition, and water law and litigation.

Ms. Grigonis graduated from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Law where she completed a specialization in Business Law and Policy, along with coursework in Federal Indian law. She competed in various moot court tournaments and earned the award for "Best Advocate" First Runner-Up in the 2010 National Native American Law Student Association Moot Court Competition.

Before joining Anderson Indian Law, Ms. Grigonis worked on a U.S. Department of Justice/National Institute of Justice grant project researching criminal jurisdiction issues in Indian Country. Prior to law school, Ms. Grigonis worked on Federal Indian law policy issues as a summer legal intern at the United States Department of Justice, Office of Tribal Justice.

Ms. Grigonis is an enrolled member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and also a descendant of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. Ms. Grigonis is admitted to the state bar of California and the United States District Court, Southern District of California.
