Kathryn Isom is an associate with Anderson Indian Law in Washington, D.C. Ms. Isom's practice focuses on the land-into-trust process, federal recognition, cultural property, and gaming issues. She frequently works with federal regulatory agencies involved in tribal matters. She previously worked in the Indian law group of a large law firm in Washington, D.C, representing and advising tribal clients on a wide range of matters. At Columbia Law School, Ms. Isom was president of the Native American Law Students Association and a coach for its moot court program. She also worked on the Columbia Human Rights Law Review, and received a Parker School Certificate in International and Comparative Law. Ms. Isom worked for the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation and interned with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs during law school. Ms. Isom is admitted to the New York State and the District of Columbia Bars. She is an enrolled member of Taos Pueblo. |
